I just realized that countersheet for C3i #25 has 12 rout markers for Ardennes '44. How are these markers used? I couldn't find anything about Rout in the rulebook.

I believe those were for the first edition. "Rout" was not originally part of the first edition rules. Mark added that concept into the living rules later as another condition. They aren't necessary for the second edition, I believe.

2nd edition comes with Rout markers. If you own 1st ed it allows you to use 2nd ed rules. If you have 2nd ed then you have extra rout counters. Since you don't see anything in the rule book then it sounds like you have 1st ed.
