I started painting the figures before playing the game.
I wanted to paint the bases of the heroes all one color and monsters and villains another.
Some are obvious, others are not.
Who's the good guys and who's the bad?

Thanks

All the figures have labels on the bottom of the bases so you can find your answers there. I don't remember the color coding, but all the heroes are one color mold when the game is new.

Thanks.. Then solid blue are the heroes.
Not many of them so they sure must have there work cut out for them.

You can also paint the heroes' bases the same color as their hero card.

What's so great about it?

I also believe the villain's color varies depending on where they're from (e.g., the Underdark villains are purple, where the bone dragon is white).

But I believe the heroes are all blue.

Actually Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxle Baenre are gray but, according to the specific quest, they are either Villain or playable heroes.
In fact, you should have both the hero "sheet & cards" and the villain tile for them.

Now I'm back to being confused.

Maybe I will stick with the Character card color or original base color.

Maybe I was to quick with that reply. I could go with my original idea, hero bases all one color, monster/villain another. Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxle Baenre paint the base the monster/villain color but the edge of the base the hero color.
That should keep me straight.

i plan on painting each hero the same color as their card (green for Drizzt etc) to make it easier to recognize them both on the board and when searching the box for them. maybe paint all the monsters something neutral like gray.
