Makes me wonder - are there wargame miniatures for routed or otherwise devastated units?

(I'm not a miniatures gamer, so I truly have no idea).

Skirmish-scale games occasionally have "casualty" minis. They're not common; usually special-edition kind of things.

Yes, there are. Games Workshop produced dedicated casualty miniatures way, way back (and many other manufacturers have done it too), and now its the standard thing to do with all the extra bits in their modern boxes.
