Add 'investment' tokens to the game. This variant will very slightly reduce the pain of missing and will speed the game up slightly. May want to play to $1,000M instead of $750M depending on #2 below.

1. On a turn in which you completely whiff on a roll with no hits at all (single hits on drilling rigs count as a hit), you get 1 token. This includes the roll on your turn and the rolls on your two neighbors' turns.

2. Each token can have a minimal cash value or none at all (trying $1M initially, but may go lower to reduce impact).

3. Players may turn in X tokens (trying 10 initially) whenever it is their turn to take actions (on their turn or their neighbors') to get a single hit on any one building they own. This does not change the dice value or any other hits they may have had for the turn. This can be used with a single hit on a drilling rig to convert to a double hit and make an oil well.

4. There may be a cap on the number of tokens that can be held to prevent hoarding (1x or 2x the number needed for #3 above), but I don't see an immediate need for that.
