Hi there,

I can play solo games one handed so I know ive got the right stuff installed however im wanting to host a game so my distant friends can play with me.

Ive tried hosting but they never seem to be able to join I give them my proper IP (as visible from outside my lan) and the port number used.

Im thinking that maybe I need to do some kind of port forwarding but cant find reference to the protocol used TCP or UDP (or whatever they are).

Here's hoping someone can tell me what I need to do.

Thanks and merry Christmas
Brian

Are you sure you are creating a self hosted game? Can you join other people's games fine?

You don't generally need an IP address. When you create a game, it has a name. This name should become visible to your friends if they click 'Join a Game' (IIRC). Voila.

That's why I asked if he was actually trying to host it himself as that's what is sounded like he was trying to do.
