The game came with one disk for each color player. Does anyone know ahat those are for? I don't see them listed among the components in the rule book.

They remind each player what color they are playing.

That's all? kinda seems like a waste. When we got the game in one of the colored disks had become lodged in one of the boats, took us a while to get it out.

It helps with knowing the player colours. Negotiation is done based on colour, and with 5-6 players, you can often get confused or forget.

The original edition had coloured voting wheels.
