I need some help.

I have had Legendary for a while now and my friend who lives several hundred miles away just got it for Christmas. We want to play together but the distance makes it difficult.

Any ideas how we can play long distance?

One idea is to do the weekly challenges found here on BBG and compete for victory points.

I think it would be hard to try to play at the same time over skype. No way to shuffle the cards the exact same way.

Ideas?

If you both have iPads, you could use CardWarden.

Otherwise, comparing solo results is probably your best bet. Besides Jacovis' wonderful Weekly Challenges, you could also join the Legendary Online League and compete against each other as well as the other people in the league.

If you each have a copy and you're Skyping, one of you could set out all the hero and villain cards you're using as a tableau and make their own starting deck as normal, then the other sets up the whole game as usual on their end. When cards come out in the "real" set, the distance player can retrieve the relevant cards from the tableau to lay out on their end. They'll then add cards to their own deck as normal and play as normal.
A little awkward, but doable.
