Decided to make a thread to post links to all my customs. It also will allow me to show my progress and what's coming up.

Re: Koga's List of Custom Decks
For Wu Xing, he's probably either a 3 or 4, still working on making him tough but not drag the fight out for several hours. The other villains don't have difficulties yet as they don't even have any cards yet.

For the Heroes:
Whiplash is a 1
H.E.R.O. is probably a 2
Yin and Yang will probably be a 3

H.E.R.O. may seem complex because of many different modules but he's pretty straightforward in their use.

I'm currently reworking my initial mechanic for Yin and Yang. I'm going to try using tokens for them, Yin and Yang tokens where they get to use certain abilities on a card depending on if they have more Yin or more Yang tokens or if they are equal. My old mechanic pretty much had the deck split in half, felt like playing 2 heroes with only half a deck each, wasn't much fun. Now if the cards can do something depending on my balance of Yin and Yang I'll be able to use my cards even when one of them has reached 0 HP. They would just shift focus to 1 side.

Not sure which villain will be the next to work on, but possibly Recurve or one of Whiplash's nemeses. Blastwave and Roukan are 2 heroes I currently have some ideas for, Blastwave will probably be my next hero though, before or after Yin and Yang are done. I try not to work on too many at once.

I've gone back to my 2 heroes I thought had their mechanics complete and figured they still didn't feel right. I'm still testing some changes before I post them.

Whiplash: He has a lot of ongoings and felt too slow so I'm working on speeding up the play of a few cards and changing a few.

H.E.R.O.: His shoulder modules felt too forced onto him, not part of the design I really wanted. I'm giving him back his 3rd core but with a change and a few cards were tweaked and/or renamed.

With these 2 heroes and all the other custom heroes people have been making, plus the new official ones that came out, I've got a better idea of what it takes to make new ones. Any future characters I make will go through more testing before the first post to avoid changing them so often and won't post every single change I make, instead I'll test them more and see if I actually like them or if they need further adjustments.

I've completed both Whiplash and H.E.R.O. now. Just updating some info in their threads now. Though may need some feedback on the changes.

Tweaked H.E.R.O. just a bit.

Several changes to Whiplash.

Started post for Blastwave.

I'll be looking at Wu Xing again and possibly work more on Ying and Yang. Also looking back at my post from over 3 years ago I was working on a new version of Yin and Yang that would use tokens to determine what their cards did. Very similar to how The Harpy is looking to work.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gtgames/sentinels-of-th...

Now Ying and Yang being a dual hero will work a lot differently than The Harpy but the base mechanic of the tokens will be similar, except instead of 5 tokens, they will have 6 and will be called karma tokens for now (still working on a final name for them).

I'm also working on a custom logo to use instead of the Sentinel Comics logo, like some others have done. If anyone has suggestions I'd like to hear them.

Here's a few examples of what I have so far.

They're still a work in progress, especially the 3rd one, while it looks nice it's missing something.

the 3rd needs something in the sky, possibly reduce the size of the CC from the 2nd one and put it in?

Here's some Dividers. 2nd one has Whiplash with artwork instead of just a screenshot. Blastwave will probably get a new one once I start taking screenshots for his cards. Don't have files to print the dividers in Printer Studio yet. I cut them out, glue them together, then cut again, that way they are thick enough. They are also designed to work with a paper cutter, a Fiskars one specifically, but others may work too. I included a bleed area on them so when they are cut there are no lines on them. Dashed lines are first cutting lines, solid lines are guides for 2nd cut.

Out of curiosity, what are the dimensions for that logo? I realize I ought to make logos for my stuff, too. :O

Approximately 80 x 200 when normal sized. I doubled the size for better clarity here.

You can also find a link to my templates here. I just updated them very slightly, the SC Logo's inner color box was off by a tiny bit, only really noticeable if really zoomed in.

Now testing some variations to see which looks better. First one is maybe a little too busy with the double gradients.

Here's another variation, this time without the outline around the gradient. Initially added it because of the versions with the letters. Also it's a more detailed hero figure. Was able to get the actual file for these at http://www.vectorfreebie.com/product/10-superhero-icon-silho... instead of just using the image and using the Live Trace option inside Illustrator. Included a color swapped version as well.

I'm not quite sure how much detail will be kept when sending it to print though. I'll probably just upload at a higher resolution size when going to print, like I've done here with doubling the size of these.

You could try making a poll if you want a lot of input? In my experience you tend to get 3-4 times as many votes as comments.

Didn't try a poll since I've been changing the logo so quickly. I'm leaning towards the white one myself, has good contrast with the black buildings. Got another one I was working on before I thought to download the vector art. Used the customization options for Live Trace in Illustrator and came up with a pretty good version. So may want to decide between higher detail or more stylized.
