Anyone have any good ideas for pimping out Caverna?

I pimp out all my games, but Agricola is probably the most pimped out game in my collection so this seems like a no-brainer to me.

One idea I have is to make all the Fimo dogs different breeds (Pug, Labrador, Dalmatian, etc), so people can have their own unique dog.

I can't wait to see if anyone makes Fimo people and weapons!

Please share any ideas you might have!

Here was an idea that I thought of, it my be dumb but I don't care lol. First by meeple people for all the colors. Then put Velcro on the back of the meeples and on the backs of the weapon tiles. This will be cooler than the disc people that come with the game, and it will look like the meeples are wearing their weapons. This may take a little time and money but would look cool I think.

I took out the starting player cylinder in Agricola and replaced it with a Schleich rooster (the "starting rooster"). What am I going to do for Caverna? A groundhog?

I feel like pimping this game is like pimping an Enzo Ferrari. It's pre-pimped. More may be just audacious.

I think I'll put some faces on the disks.

I think a list of all the room tiles would have been nice to have as part of the game, probably one for each player.

I just made a blue bird picking up a worm for start player in Agricola. A ground hog seems like a fun idea for this. Gonna start my animeeples today!

I made two, one for the basic game and one for the advanced game in Excel and decorated it with Caverna art which are awaiting BGG approval. There's a simple one in the file section though which gets the job done.

Yes, thanks so much! I am planning on printing these and keeping them with the game. Very well done.

I dont know how practical it would be but has anyone thought of using little dwarf miniatures instead of the player tokens?

I thought about using Medieval Legos for the dwarves. You could color code them easy and there's detachable weapons, too. Just make a spot on their base to hold the weapon level tokens.

This would be awesome.

I'd really like to see pics of anything people do to upgrade the dwarf discs.

Here's what I'm thinking.

Gluing a standard meeple on top of the player disc. Then taking out a slice from the disc and mounting a dial underneath with the values of the weapons.

You would get a wooden-Euro Heroclix meeple thing that'll save some time when looking for the right value chit after finishing expeditions.

Now you're making me think about whether I can find 14 different medieval Lego weapons...

A guinea-pig. Nothing beats guinea-pigs. And the Schleich one is especially adorable.

That might actually be perfect.

You could get a really sleek and elegant modern look if you replaced all the wood bits with correctly colored wooden cubes, and the rubies/ore with plastic cubes.

I've recently been messing around with some ideas for Fimo dogs and donkeys and also a start player dwarf. Here is my latest attempt:

Not entirely happy with the donkey or dog but it is fun to experiment.

Also pimped up my Agricola animals (which work just as well in Caverna) here:

If you are interested in a step-by-step on how to make these animals they are up on my blog here http://nzboardgaming.blogspot.co.nz/

Sheep and Pigs are up right now and next weekend I will put out a guide to the cows.

I think this is the only game in my collection that I don't wish to pimp. It's perfect.

Looking forward to your ideas though

I love this idea! Are there any existing dials out there that would work, maybe a repurposed heroclix dial?
