Hi all, just played this game and I was wondering about why it's necessary when making the coastal deck to have all the original non-labeled coastal cards and 8-10 of the zero labelled coastal cards. Why not just make them all random? After playing the game twice, I already begin seeing repeats (as expected) and can somewhat anticipate what's coming.

Well I agree that some of the default beach cards are seen a lot, but they also represent stuff you would usually find on a deserted palm island. I haven't tried, but I believe you would be unable to keep track of all the different story arcs if they were all randomly shuffled in and you randomly got a lot of them. It would be pretty nice to have a lot more default beach cards and then just taking a cut of them randomly for each game (like with the event cards.

I'm not sure what you mean about 8-10
There is 22 cards that are numbered 0
20 coast 2 interior all numbered 0

You separate the 3 none numbered decks coast interior and heart deck.
then shuffle the 22 0 numbered cards together ans randomly take 8 cards and shuffle them into the correct deck ie coast or interior.

Ohh I just pulled the number from my head. I thought it was randomly add 10 zero cards (so 2 of them could be interior, hence 8-10 coastal cards)
