Is it possible to build and fly a rocket without crew?

Please forgive me if it has been explained on this forum already, but I just couldn't find it.

Absolutely. Using crew cards is entirely optional. Much as most space missions today are unmanned probes.

If you are playing the advanced game, flying without a crew increases the chances of your rocket blowing up, as it becomes vulnerable to glitches.

We don't like to say "blowing up" when speaking of rockets. We prefer the term "early decommissioning".
