Stunned to see the first three poles showing a trend to no that promos influenced buying a game, yet 50% answered the additional pole saying yes to buying promos before game.

There must have been a moment at the beginning, where we could have said no. Somehow we missed it. Well, we'll know better next time.

I don't see it as that surprising. I've had games high on my wishlist that I don't own yet, but when i'm buying some other promos from the GeekStore I throw in the promo for that one. Or if I'm worried the promo will sell out, I'll buy it even though I don't own the already-wanted base game yet.

Buying a promo is less about how good the game is and more about how good the game will be because of the promo. If the game is a 7 and the promo adds to the enjoyment or more replays, them I'm in.
