Any fans of this out there? I'm thinking I want to try to start following races, but it seems options are very limited in the US. How do you go about watching races?

There are 10 types of people-- those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I've never done it, but most places have "car clubs".
Do a search for them in your area. If they have a website then they would post events (although not necessarily rallies) there.
Depending how bold you are whistle you could either just show up at an event, or you could contact their organizer. I'm willing to bet that they are friendly people looking for anyone who will come to a meeting or to one of their events.
Once you're around these people, ask them where the rallies are. They will know.

Can you be more obvious? You know that Rally Racers consume more burritos per capita than any other organized group on earth.

Have you no shame?

And I thought I knew you.

From a spectators point of view, I think Rally racing is more exciting then most types of racing. I would categorize it as pure awesome. But sometimes I think the participants must be a little crazy.

I just watched some video and agree that while the participants are a bit crazy, the spectators close to the track are completely bonkers.

My favorite type of racing!
I think it is racing in it's purest form.
You have your car the road and the fastest time wins.
The roads vary...the conditions vary...and you can't blame your time on being cut off or bumped by other drivers!
If only there was a way to get good FIA World Rally coverage up here in Canada!
