I assume, that the following is done for game preparation when you play with all expansions (base game, style is the goal, additional huts, casino):

You shuffle all 45 (28+9+6+2) huts together, then you construct piles of huts in the amount of players, where two of these piles have 8 huts (see casino rules), the other piles have only 7 huts. The remaining huts are removed from the game, without looking at them.

Or with other words, there are always two piles with 8 huts, no matter, how many players take part, and no matter, if the casino huts are actually in these piles, right?

I may have missed it, but where do you find the rules about making any hut piles with 8 tiles?

Seems you missed it. As I mentioned, it is in the rules of the Casino(s):

" (...) Shuffle both Casinos to the other huts. By that, two stacks of huts are one hut larger. (...) " (translation mine)

Uhmmm... - No! The way I read the Casino expansion rules, you always mix in the 2 Casino huts (to the pool of huts actually used in the game) when choosing to use that expansion! That's why the expansion's rules say that there will always be 2 stacks with 8 huts - because the 2 Casino huts are an add-on to the regular number of huts used in the game.

And another argument: It would be fairly pointless to decide to use the Casino expansion and then still leave it up to "Lady Luck" to see whether your 2 Casino huts actually get mixed in or not (pretty slim chance at that)!

SO, basically, the following setup should always work:

- sort out the 2 casino huts
- randomize everything else (the 28+9+6 huts)
- without looking at the cards, set aside a pool of (7 x P) huts, where P = number of players
- if you don't want to additionally use the Casino expansion, make P stacks of 7 huts from that pool now and you're ready to play...
- if you do want to add in the Casino expansion, mix the 2 Casino huts into your set aside pool and make 2 stacks of 8 huts each and (in case you're playing with 3 or more players) make stacks of 7 huts each from the rest of the huts

Hmm, I regard it as strange, that the casino expansion should work completely different than the other two expansions?

With the other two expansions, you do shuffle all huts into the pile. And you are up to "lady luck", if of these huts are actually some in the game or not. It is possible with the other two expansions, to "include" them, but nevertheless to end up with only base game huts actually in play.

Why should I be forced opposed to that, to decide before the game, to include the casinos or not? We want to be suprised by Lady Luck, which of the huts are actually in the game.

Hard to believe, that this is not the intention of the publisher of this expansion, after the two other expansions.

Btw, I asked Hand im Glück about that in their base game forum. But no answer yet.

Today, I got answer from Michael Fronia, Hans im Glück, about my question.

They said, that my question motivated them to change the official rules for the casino huts.

From now on, the rule of composing piles of 8 huts is canceled for all game configurations. In all configurations, only piles of 7 huts are composed.

Furthermore, the official way to play with all expansions (including casinos) is from now on, to simply shuffle all huts (including casinos) together, building the necessary amount of hut piles, and removing the remaining huts from game without looking at them (so no mandatory casinos in the hut piles anymore).
