Hello esteemed gamers!

I am working on designing and printing a 6-suited deck of cards that will allow playing many card games such as Mü, Sticheln, Wizard, Gang of Four, and much more, plus allow prototyping of new card games. The plan is to run a Kickstarter campaign to fund the printing of the cards and the graphic design.

I have two important questions:
A) Is this illegal? It would be nice to include (paraphrased) rules with the game but not required. The art and graphic design will all be original.
B) What games should I make sure to support? I have considered the following games, please let me know if there are any games that I've missed:
Bargain Hunter
Hanabi
David & Goliath

Nyet!
Willi
Was Sicht
Friday the 13th
Lost Cities
The Bottle Imp
Wizard
Gang of Four
Tichu
Rook
Sticheln
Rage
Relationship Tightrope
Nicht die Bohne!
No Thanks!

I'm wondering about No Thanks. Are all your suits going to go up to 35?

Nope, my plan is to add sequential numbering to the cards in addition to the main numbering for multi-suit games. The colors will be chosen for consistency with "the bottle imp". That said, all games that I have considered do not mean I'm actually planning to implement them all.

If your deck looks nice and is well made/priced I will probably pick it up, if not I'll stick to a Rage/Slide 5 deck.

I second this (already have a Rage deck). If you put many extra markings beyond rank and suit then I will avoid it. It's nice that it covers many games, but it's a pain to explain and remember which markings to ignore for each specific game.

If you are worried about copyright for including game rules perhaps include a link to a list of games that could be played with small descriptions of them and links to rules.

You should review the design thread of the Rainbow Deck. This is a 12-suited deck that is also intended to be a multi-purpose deck. Whether it succeeds at that or not is left as an exercise for the reader.
