Played a game with my friend today and he was using the Necromancer. When it came time to switch to the second encounter the question came up as to whether or not his Reanimate would still be there at the start of encounter 2. Could not find anything that specified one way or the other.

Thoughts?

No, you have to respawn it. I can't remember where that was clarified though, in the FAQ or the 'unanswered' questions thread...

Unrelated (mostly) to my first question: Can a familiar open a door?

Unless it is specifically allowed on the Familiar card, then no, a Familiar cannot perform an Open or Close Door action. (There is currently no Familiar that can do this, but potential for one in the future.)

The only thing a Familiar may do on its activation is perform a single move action. However, each Familiar has special abilities (Reanimate's ability to perform an attack action, Skye's ability to force rerolls, et cetera) in addition to the move action. These are written on the Familiar's card.

Thanks for the help guys. We did everything per the rules though we weren't sure at the time if we had.
