There was only time for games on Sunday, so I opened up my new game: BIOS: Megafauna. We played 4 games (2-player) in a row and really enjoyed it a lot. The presence of certain genes on the mutation cards was a bit too random, so next time we'll play with the living rules.
Afterwards there was still time for one play of Targi.

FRI:
Descent 2 : Played a side quest and the intermission Friday night, we lost the side quest to the Overlord but managed to win the intermission.

Caverna: Then played a 4 player game of Caverna , I finished dead last, my first real poor effort, I had won the previous 2 games.

SAT:
none (played a little Mass Effect on the PS3)

SUN:
Cyclades : Played our first 2 games of Cyclades with 4 players and had a blast. Some real cool moments in these games - the Kracken was a blast to see hit the table.

Finally got Concordia to the table after having it sit idle of many months.

Played 2p with my wife using the Italy map, and really enjoyed it. It was a bit slow and weird at first, but once you get your head round it, it's simple, fast and really good. Needs at least one play to understand the final scoring, but it really adds to it.

Keen to play again. And with more players too.

EDIT - Oh I forgot we also played Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, scenario 4, Volcano island.

The game didn't last long as we were completely annihilated very quickly with some poor card draws making things extremely difficult!

I also started to play through Roads & Boats to learn it. It's still sat on the table downstairs, unless the cats have decided to destroy it!

I haven't played enough to get my head round it yet.

Saturday
Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island x2
Played solo and got smoked by the Cursed Island, again!
Cadwallon: City of Thieves
2-player with my wife. She loves this game and proved it by beating me.

Sunday
Small World x2
2-player with my wife using the Tales and Legends expansion. We took turns destroying each other. I beat her by 22 victory points the first game and she obliterated me by 55 victory points the second game.

Sabotuer was my game of choice this weekend. It was a bad choice. This is a 3 player game that really doesn't work with 2. Luckily, now my wife and I understand the basics and can teach it to another couple when we get the chance. As long as it has 3 players or more it should work nicely. Even though this game was a bust, I'm looking forward to trying it again.

After that failed, we went with something familiar and dependable. Labyrinth Maybe this game will get old one day, but so far it has been one of the best investments I have made in gaming. Every time it hits the table the value seems to increase. As we get better at it it just becomes more fun.

We (myself and user neversated, who happens to be my wife) played three new-to-us games this weekend:

At the Gates of Loyang x1
Space Hulk: Death Angel x1 (which we won!)
Love Letter x3 which was hilarious and all kinds of fun.

We also played 3 or 4 rounds of slightly inebriated Flash!
