I played it a few years ago with some friends of friends in the quieter rooms of a loud party.

It was a really simple game that had no 'board' but was still a board game.

All I can remember was that the reverse of the playing cards actually became the board you were playing.

I think it was like a castle you had to get out of, and the cards made the corridors.

Any ideas what it was? Part of me things there was also a die and player tokens, but I could be misremembering that.

Thanks everyone, I guess the Dungeoneer: Tomb of the Lich Lord is the closest as it was definitely dungeony. I'm sure in my mind though it was simple like carcassonne.

You proceed from a false assumption. I am a Vulcan. I have no ego to bruise.

I'm assuming it was a good party and you had had a drink:

Carcassonne or DungeonQuest (third edition)

Was it a newer game or an older game?

Cardmaster: Adventure Design Deck is one, but it uses dice.

Arcadia: The Wyld Hunt is another. AND each player has a card that folds into a standup counter.
