Hi folks,

I've played avalon recently and it was a great game because of bluffing, and emotions.

Now, I tried imperial, and it was very good as well, because it's interesintg, not as ahort as avalon, and you can fight other players with your multilevel strategy - money + war.

Now, Im looking for a game that is played 120 -180 mins for 5-7 players, that is great to play with some a bit of bluffing, emotions etc. I like games when you can compete with other players, make some connections with them, and it would be interesting if the subject was about 20th century wars but its not a must.

Do you think the game of thrones would be good? Do you have some other suggestions of any top of the chart game?

Cheers,
Slawek

Struggle of Empires is amazeballs with 7 people. You'll be hard pressed to find such a brilliant game as this one with great conflict, economics, and interaction. The alliance phase is brilliant, brilliant fun.

It's great with 5, 6, and 7.

Enjoy!

GoT only supports 6 players max, so if you have 7 frequently, it's not for you... but then again, there's not a whole lot of games outside the party game realm that support over 6 anyway.

But I recently played GoT with both 3 and 4 players, and it was very enjoyable. Depending on the people you play with, there can be a large amount of deceit, backstabbing and many other forms of treachery. Takes a few plays to get use to, but there really isn't any luck factor in the game, and is heavily based on strategy.

GOt might be quite good,

Struggle of Empires might be perfectly "fitting to my needs"! the ONLY problem I can see with this game, it could be long and quite difficult - as they say (for other players, not for me).

If you regularly have 7 people the best game is Diplomacy. You really need to have 7 players for it, and you would have to set a strict time limit on each diplomacy round to get it played in the 3 hours you have available.

Keep in mind Diplomacy, while excellent, has player elimination...so you'll want to have a 2p filler on hand for the first two that get eliminated. And perhaps some pornography for the first person knocked out.

It is long, but it's not really that difficult. (Difficult to play well, certainly.)

I'd make the effort to give SoE a try -- it's a great gaming experience.

I read some posts on the internet and the choice is probably between:

1. struggle of empires
2. GOT

Please tell me why SOE is better than GOT?

3. friedrich - seems similar to SOE and good as well , easier but for 4 players (not sure - but might be also a good choice here)
4. here i stand - they say it's very good, but longer and more difficult, and the subject is not so XX century'ish (the most buts)

3,4 have no Polish versions so still choice between 1,2 probably
