I was just playing MMW today and I was struck by how imprecise the ratios were. If the battle is 28 on 16, the side with 28 gets absolutely no advantage whatsoever. I would create a army column where you get +1 modifier for a 3:2, or -1 on 2:3, to allow for less annoyance when attacking with a far larger army. I also find that the British are a bit too overpowered by 1814. I find that since all of their reinforcements are "5", whereas the Americans are "4" they have a significant advantage. I might remove one British unit coming into Quebec every turn there is more than 6 to even it out a bit more. I played quite well as the Americans (I took Montreal and Kingston) but in the end could not match the pace of British reinforcements, in what I felt was no fault of my own.
