The last few photos I've uploaded have automatically rotated themselves 90 degrees into landscape when the pictures are regular portraits. This has never happened before. Is there a way to stop it?

Were they taken at portrait, and then you right-clicked on the file and chose “Rotate This Image Right”? Because although that works for Windows’ purposes, it doesn’t always take with other applications. You may have to manually open the images, rotate them right (or left), then save them so.

Then it should register properly.

The only times I’ve seen this problem, it was when someone used Windows’ context-menu option to rotate an image and then web applications didn’t register the rotation.

Cheers, I'll try that. I've just never had to before so it confused me.

It may not be. Beyond that, I’m stumped!

Great thanks, that seemed to work ok. Now I hope the rest of the pictures are ok for the geek mods!

New camera Lee? Or perhaps using an Apple device which is clever enough to be aware that you have rotated the phone/tablet to take a picture in landscape mode, and clever enough to rotate it again when you view it on screen, but not clever enough to save it rotated when downloaded to a computer?

*puts on tin hat and prepares for onslaught from Apple fans telling him it doesn't happen if you use a Mac*

None of that fruit based tit-tat in my abode thank you sir!

(P.S. I do have Caverna ready for the next Bolton day if you fancy a go at Agricola 2.0!)

In that case you may wish to turn your monitor on its side instead.

I hear Caverna is like Agricola with the excruciating decisions taken out. That is like having hotspot without the pickled cabbage.
