Hey everyone,

So today was going to be a VERY good day.

See, my wife thinks I have too many games. Of course she is wrong, because there is still room in the closet. Plus if I toss out her Twilight books, I can fit another couple games in.

Well, I have been tracking some packages. Today BattleCON: DoI, and Ogre arrive. Best part is that I am always home from work before she punches out. So I can hide my problem. (Yes I could even hide Ogre...somewhere. I think.)

Well, she just sent me a text about 15 mins ago that she is tired, and decided to go home early. So yea, about now she is at the house. Nothing has been delivered yet, but it is only a matter of time.

I am so dead..........

A wall of games makes for the best camouflage.

I have a closet of empty boxes I use to hide things. Right now the BattleCON extras and Strikers are hiding in it, all sleeved, punched out and ready to go. She doesn't know about that closet.

However I can't tell the UPS guy to hide.

You're just having the items delivered to your house for a friend!

See, his wife doesn't approve of his gaming habit, so he has to have items delivered to your place to sneak them past her...

Except the "friend" would never pick them up. lol Free games! (That I really paid for...)

Eventually, you do have to buy her a gift though.

Yea, that is a drawback. It cuts into my gaming budget. It was a good idea but will cost me more. Plus we aren't gift givers. She will smell the BS all over it. For our birthdays or valentines day we just go out to dinner. Even christmas is light.

Tell her those games were your Valentine's Day gift to her.

I'm certain she will love the gesture.

I know this doesn't work for everyone but I had my stuff delivered to my office for awhile and later to a friend who visited and left the items there. Of course sounds like you have a greater volume of items arriving more regularly.

Is there a Board Gamer's Anonymous? Heck, then I could have them delivered to my sponsor and visa versa.

@Jeff - I can't even get her to play a medium-simple game. How do ou think those two would go over. I might get ther "Do you even know me???" speech. lol

@Doug - That is one of the managers said he does. He gets a lot of toys to the office so his wife doesn't know. But I have a 45 min walk home (for exercise...my car just sits in a parking spot for most of the week). I can't imagine carrying Ogre (all 27 pounds) for 3 miles. lol

An apology is the superglue of life. It can repair just about anything.

But depending on how many games she finds, you may need a lot of super glue.

It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. And we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

See... you just need to deliver the games to your place of work.

Problem solved.

(and you'll have reading material at work)

Just make a deal with your wife: you'll stop buying games if she stops buying shoes.

She doesn't buy shoes. She buys groceries and uses her portion of the money to help her parents. I can't compete with that!

Now I am wondering how you will be able to play them. You need a secret attic big enough for Ogre so you can play it up there.

Well good news. I am still alive!

She knows about them and they are unboxed. So I think I will go order more games tonight, and have them overnighted.
