I recently heard of an upcoming tabletop game called "Journey to the Overland". It is heavily influenced by Barbarian Prince and expands on the concept immensely. For those interested, check out the website.

Interesting... but that site's a mess. I have no idea if it's available, where it's available, etc. etc. It makes oblique references to a Kickstarter on the table of contents image, but no link.

I agree that the organization of the web page doesn't bode well for the game - but the "Blog and News" link featured at the top of the page seemed like an obvious place to look. There I found this "Kickstarter Launched" blog posting which does link to the Kickstarter page:

http://solowargamingshow.wordpress.com/2014/02/10/journey-to...

On the Kickstarter page the following note is found:

7. WHAT GAMES WAS JTO INSPIRED BY?

"I created JTO between 1984 and 1987 while in high school. Some of my favorite games during that period were BARBARIAN PRINCE by Dwarfstar Games, LONE WOLF AND MAGNUNMUND, by Joe Dever and DRAGONQUEST by SPI. I was also a big CONAN THE BARBARIAN by Marvel Comics fan as well as THE WARLORD comic series by DC Comics."

The games designer is on the yahoo group and had pointed out the kickstarter over there a week or two ago.

I think that most of the time playing BP I imaged the Prince as Conan.
