International Table Top Day is with us again on 5th April and Newcastle Gamers will commemorate this auspicious event in our time-honoured tradition of opening our doors for an ALL DAY gaming session! This meeting is in addition to our normal schedule, (of 2nd and last Saturdays in the month) and we will open at 10am and carry on till shortly after midnight.

All day sessions are a great chance to play some longer games that don't often hit the table, so if there are any such games that you would like to bring and/or play, please mention them here and see who else might be interested.

Fresh meat is New members are always welcome! Turn up at any time in the day. There's always a new game starting up every half an hour or so, always more than 20 players in attendance and lots of games going on throughout the day. This is the essential info you need :-

Venue : Christ Church Hall, Simpson Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 1XB
There’s a small Sainsburys close by, and various takeaways within walking distance. Free tea and coffee are available in the Hall, which has a kitchen area with microwave and kettle.

Price : First visit is FREE. (So if you join for an all day session you're really getting your money's-worth!) Regulars pay £2 each (£1 unwaged)

Getting there : Car parking is free in a dedicated car park adjoining the church hall. Manors Metro station is close by and the city centre is a short walk away. Lifts home can sometimes be offered if anyone is driving your way.

The club meets regularly on the second and LAST Saturday of every month. (Note that our 5th April meeting is a one-off addition to the schedule). Normally running from 4.30pm till midnight but opening at 10.00am for all-day sessions

I intend to try and get along, I have my first free Saturday coming up on the 5th so I may as well make it my first visit as well. Shall I bring games or will I just impose upon existing ones? How does it go down for new faces? I am kind of new to board gaming as well.

Excellent - you will be very welcome Gavin. If there's any specific games you want to play then it's a good idea to bring them, but there's no actual need to bring anything because members always bring plenty games along. New faces are always welcome. If you arrive first thing you're certain to be included in the first games being started. If you arrive later, then you may have to wait a short while for a game to end before getting into a game, but probably no more than 20 minutes or so. No-one is ever left standing around doing nothing for any length of time. People will be arriving throughout the day.

If you would like to say hi, I'll be wearing a grey hoodie with my BGG avatar on the front, but anyone will make you feel welcome.

Don't miss it! All-day sessions are always great fun.

Splendid, I will do my best to get along for a few hours for a few games.
I have recently bought pandemic and I am itching for a game of that. I'll just bring that. My wife said she'll drop me off.
