The game comes with pawns in Red, Orange, Yellow, White, Green, Blue, and Black.

The box and instruction booklet both state the game is for 2-6 players.

Is there any particular reason for the extra pawn?

Weird - the rules say there are six. But you have seven differently coloured ones?

Yes I have seven. Here is a picture that another user had uploaded, and I have the same pieces.

I can confirm. Same seven pawns in my copy, too.

Can you name these games?

Our group uses the extra pawn as a start player marker -- nothing in the rules refer to it however.

Incidentally, we had seven people one night so decided to try it with seven players. It turned out to be too many -- we went through the coal too quickly; sometimes in only one round.

Interesting - I was wondering about that too. I also have two extra '50' coal pieces, making 50 coal instead of the 48 specified in the rules.
