One last tour here on the Death Star and I can retire. What was that noise?!

I have had similar conversations with several Lieutenants and one specific Major. Without the 'all due respect' line.

Just looking at it again, it cracks me up to see the burn bag on the floor under the table! Dunno why I find that little detail funny.

Sensitive and classified printed materials due for destruction are tossed in a "burn bag" instead of the regular trash. Usually at the end of the shift, some junior enlisted Soldier takes the bag and incinerates it. When I was a young troop assigned to a Bde HHC, I spent a good bit of time in the burn cage burning docs in the burn barrel. The cage was to stop smaller bits of paper, that may still have readable info on it, from floating away like Forrest Gump's feather (or was it a leaf?) on the warm updrafts from the burn barrel.

Strategic in Management Speak is "Be Proactive - I don't want to hear about problems."

Tactical is "Reactive - Break Fix. Why didn't you see it coming?"

Strategy is Success.
Tactics is Failure.

Physically, it's basically a paper grocery bag (although a bit taller and with heavier paper) with red stripes on it.
