Hello!

I am backing this game for three reasons.

1) I love light/med euro-games with interactive elements.

2) Vikings are a really awesome theme, expressed by beautiful art in this game.

3) The price is excellent, even for someone outside NZ.

If anyone else wants to share why they are backing Shipwrights of the North Sea and stir up some hype, please be my guest!

I'd be interested in what you have to say.

Cheers

Warlord beats Troll, Troll beats Elf, Elf beats Water Sprite, and basically everything else beats Enchanted Bunny.

Most of all, it's a very clean campaign so that gives me confidence in the game and publisher. What is not to love about Vikings! Not enough good games with this theme IMHO. Also, it's an easy-to-learn euro style game with just enough player interaction to keep it coming back to my table for several plays; no multi-player solitaire here. And finally, the artwork is amazing!

Yep, all them, the cool art (yes, the art gets in twice) and additionally: I like to support games from New Zealand because it's nice to be on the other side of the "International shipping is incredibly expensive" equation for once (and maybe a touch of patriotism)

You've summed it up pretty well. Another reason for me is that I'm fairly new to tabletop gaming (well gaming of any sort really) and my little group of gamers need to be coddled along. I thought this would be a good fit (not too light but with all the mechanics) to maybe get us to the point where we would want to break out some of the heavier fair.

The theme is what made me check it out despite having overspent the past month at Kickstarter. The gameplay video sealed the deal and I knew it would work. I end up playing a lot of two player sessions so the fact that I could get all gameplay I wanted in a two player package sealed the deal.

Saw this and kept telling myself I needed to go back and back it. Luckily, I remembered today and got in with 20 minutes. I backed this because I love the theme. I'm exciting about the gameplay elements. It seems like that nice "medium" game that will appeal to my son as well as my friend I play block games with so it's liable to get a lot of table time.

Can't wait to get this.
