Are the only things worth separating are the cards tied to a particular landscape? It seems that the cards are indistinguishable as to which goes with which deck.

I just separated by landscape as the op mentioned and put the "wild card" buildings, creatures and spells separately as well. I ended up getting a deck box for my son and I.
It seemed necessary for us at least for now. We just build our decks then meet at the kitchen table with our 4 land tiles face down on each side then reveal simultaneously.
