I got the iOS version of Stone age a couple days ago. I loved it bit the more I played the more I Missed the ability to see other people specialists and technologies on your turn.
Would love getting that fixed.

Do anyone have ideas for other updates on the app?

Your wish is my command. I am going to "upgrade" your app right now.

Tada!

Now when you are playing click on your opponents picture/wheel and you can see what they have.

Edit:

My apologies, I am a dirty dirty liar you can see their possessions and number of technologies but not actually what they have. I leave in shame.

I'm giving you the upvote, for making me laugh.

Although I mostly came here, hoping for an AI fix for StoneAge for iOS. It's desperately weak.

I'm giving you a thumb because you think the ai is so easy I still lose to the herder all the time.

Really? I wonder something about your style of play, if you don't mind me asking?

How would you describe your style of play, either

a) Make the best choice placing each man the whole game, regardless of long-term strategy

or

b) Somewhere along the way, you pick a strategy, and try to follow that strategy, weighting the placement of each man based on that strategy.

Ugh I typed a bunch and it was deleted. I guess I play more turn to turn the over all strategy. I like going for technologies.

I used to play like that as well. Play maybe 1/3 to 1/2 of the game, looking for a strategy, then spend the last half pushing for that strategy. I won my share, about 1/4 of the time in 4P games.

Then I decided to weight every single choice all by itself - disregarding any strategy, and disregarding anything I had previously done. Just take the best placement for my men each time. Once I did that, I began winning at a much higher rate, certainly more than 50% of the time in 4P. AND, to top it off, I started absolutely crushing the computer. I win probably 90% of the time against the iOS ai, just picking the best option available. And I'd say 5% of the time I lose due to "dice malfunctions".

One thing I think, that really helps this strategy is this : A great option (Let's say the 1-7 hut) may not fit your strategy (let's say you are going for tools). So if you play to fit your strategy, you leave the 1-7 hut for your opponent, and take the tool. But, if you aren't playing to a strategy, taking the 1-7 is the best option, PLUS you have robbed your opponent of taking that. Sure, maybe you only have 1 wood to get the hut with, but your opponent DIDN'T get to score 30 points with his 5 gold he was going to put on.

.. food for thought ..
