Hi,

is there any possibility this game to be reprinted?
Maybe by Mayfair / Lookout / Z-Man or other "big" publisher?

It has been demonstrated it is a good beginners/short game, so it would be great if would be re printed.

Maybe it could be even possible to double it and do a 18AL/18GA version...

Just throwing my coin into the wishpool...

Regards,

EDIT: Typos

Print & Play Productions produces versions of 18AL. I'm not sure if they ship internationally. They are based in the US.

IIRC it never was commercially printed, just available as files or as a kit-game from JDG.

As it happens, the JDG files are still available for download despite his warning a few years ago that they would be disappearing. I do find the old materials preferable, though it sounds like Derrick prefers the Koryo redesign. It looks attractive, but I'm firmly in the clearclaw camp of function over form these days.

Love 'em even if a few games get scuttled from time to time.

I have the Print & Play Games version of 18AL. The printing quality is excellent and I would highly recommend it.

International Shipping made it an expensive alternative (+85€...)

I already tried to do an P&P version but I am not very happy with it (I recently discovered that not all hexes are same dimensions )

I am also considering Mayfair 1830... (around 55-60€...)

My favorite 18xx game for six players is two games of 1846 with three players each.

One thing that irritated me about the graphics in this game is that there are three red companies. It would be better if the companies had distinguishable colors.

It's not so much a problem if it's black and white, because one isn't expecting color to carry meaning. But when there are color schemes for the railroads, one expects color to carry meaning, and when three of the railroads are all red, that expectation leads one astray.
