Looking at these stars suddenly dwarfed my own troubles and all the gravities of terrestrial life. I thought of their unfathomable distance, and the slow inevitable drift of their movements out of the unknown past into the unknown future. H.G. Wells

Is there a way to subscribe to a geeklist where you only get a subscription notice when there is a new geeklist item?

In order of priority.

1) I don't want to be notified for any comments, whether on the geeklist or in a geeklist item.

2) I don't want to be notified for an edited geeklist item.

It would be great if both can be accomplished, but even if just the first can be it would be helpful.

1) Load the geeklist you're subscribed to. At the bottom of the header you'll see the link "unsubscribe" with an arrow icon next to it. Select that icon and then select "edit subscription". Then set comments to "no".

2) Unfortunately there's no way to do this.

if there are more than 2 new items in a GL, is there a way to 'skip to next unread/new' ? Otherwise, I seem to have to scroll through pages to find the next new item.

You'll get a subscription link for an item on each page that has changed (but they'll appear as one item), but you have to scroll within pages to see what else is new. If you open your subscriptions in one tab, create a new tab from the subscription link, then reload the subscriptions--then you can see how much the subscription number dropped to figure out how many things have changed on that page.

You could also try viewing your subscriptions via the "items by subscription" link. It presents subs in at more granular level...
