A user is having a PDF file repeatedly try to download with the .PHP extension. I can duplicate the behavior, except that on alternate tries it does correctly try to serve the correct PDF.

Weirder than that, I have been having this PDF file repeatedly served by BGG with an .EXE extension instead. Actually it alternates between an empty .PHP file (as above) and a correctly named .EXE file.

But when I download the .EXE file BGG serves and open it in a hex editor, it has the PDF header all right; I can rename the extension to .PDF and it opens fine for reading.

What’s up with BGG’s serving of PDF files over the past day or so?
