This is a follow up to my civ builder thread posted a few days ago in this seection. I am wondering two things....
1. do you like either game? If you have played both, which one is better?
Have played both once, so far. Own Pax. These are very different games. Pax is more historical, and concentrates on one period. 7A is everywhere. My preference at the moment would be Pax.
2. Which one has more of a civ builder feel (civ builder defined as a game where you start off with a civilization in it's infancy and advance it militarily, techologically, and economically....think Advanced Civilzation)
7A is better compared to History of the World instead of Civilization. You do progress, but it is mostly military technology with some cultural effects. In Pax the civilization points are earned through building (and conquering) cities. In both games the goal is to own territory. In 7A, different civilizations have special VPs to earn, but it is still about being the biggest in certain catagories.
