Essentially, it is just a circle of fabric with holes around the edge through which you insert some string/cord. If you use fleece (which will cost less than $5 to make several large bags if you get superhero stuff from a craft store, even less if you get plain fleece) then it won't fray so no sewing is required.

Here is a simple pic of a plain one not made of fleece opened out:

I'd estimate that you need at least 12" circle for each bag, so if you buy a half yard of fleece (the minimum you can get from my local store is a quarter yard (9"), I don't know if they allow you to buy 12") then you'd get a piece that is 58" by 18". That would make three 18" bags, or four 14" bags.

That's great! What about the cord, leather? How much is that?

They sell all kinds of cord for bracelets. Even elastic cord is only a couple of dollars

That is a neat different take on a dice bag.

Has anyone tried using a large sock?

I would do but I find the collectible nature of the sock industry offensive, so walk around barefoot.

I was just at the Walmart. They had a nice, decorative cord in several colors. You could get (I think) 5 yards for $3. I suppose that would make several bags!

Here is a 12" bag I made, used a shoelace to tie up the top. It's a little small for a full-size game, hard to shake up all the dice, so a larger one would be better.

I know it involves sewing, but my girlfriend did it, so I didn't sew anything.

Yes, it's Star Trek and yes, it's sideways, but you get the idea. We found some great Marvel fabric and she's going to make me up a set of them. However, there's lots of fabric left over, so there could be room for orders if people are interested.
