Roles (26 players)

Summary of Role changes from first game:
- Alpha and Shaman wolf viewing powers no longer have random negative N1s
- Rabid Wolf's killing power has expanded use and effectiveness
- Shaman wolf does not start with the Hellfire amulet, but knows who does. Wolves can all distinguish between amulets.
- Shaman wolf has a one-shot power to raise himself from the dead.
- Witch has extra info at game start.
- Wizard knows if he views a wolf.
- Lilch is now a Lich.
- Lich has an extra power to force a no lynch.
- Lich is immune to Druid and Explosive Seer kills.
- High Priest is no longer tough, but can hand out toughs to other players.
- Psychic Priest can sense additional roles based on votes.
- Necromancer's question power has been completely reformed.
- Great Hunter's power to kill the Alpha Wolf now requires him to find the Mason first.
- The Druid can be killed by the Lich.
- The Medium can become self-aware and gain extra votes from amulets.
- The Madman can kill himself and another player at any time.
- Dead votes will continue as long as one of the Medium, High Priest, and Psychic Priest are alive.
- Any number of auxes can promote to wolf.
- The witch may curse a living AND a dead player each night.
- The Shaman Wolf has been given some extra powers.
- The Evil Wizard is slightly more powerful.
- There is a tinker.

Evil:

Alpha Wolf
Will be viewed as not wolf by the explosive seer. Will not be killed by the explosive seer unless he is the last wolf alive. Defies hunter parity if alive. The Alpha Wolf may lie in answer to the Necromancer's questions. Each night, the Alpha Wolf may view a target player and get aux evil/not aux evil as a result. Random negative N0 view.

Rabid Wolf
Once per game can make a kill during the day. Chance of success starts at 30% and increases by 10% for each day that passes and 10% for each vote that remains on the Alpha Wolf at the end of each day. However, it operates at 100% if the Rabid Wolf can guess the role of the target. If this kill is unused when the Rabid Wolf is lynched, the Rabid Wolf may either choose to kill a voter at 100% effectiveness (or anyone if more than half his voters are dead), or to kill TWO random good players. This kill overrides any toughness and protection.

Shaman Wolf
The Shaman wolf will know the exact role of all night kills, even after death. The Shaman Wolf may view a player for strong/not strong each night (only gets a positive on the Great Hunter, Mason, and Special Ops agent). Random negative N0 view. Any player viewed by the Shaman Wolf is also considered "tagged".
As long as the Shaman Wolf is alive, all dead wolves will permanently remain able to speak in Wolf Chat. The Shaman Wolf himself will always be able to speak in Wolf Chat and will retain all powers after death.
Once per game the Shaman Wolf may cancel the votes of 2 dead players. Once per game the Shaman Wolf may move the vote of 1 dead player. These powers cannot be used on the same day.
The Shaman Wolf knows which player begins with the Hellfire Amulet.
Once per game, the Shaman Wolf may summon the Hellfire Amulet to himself. The player who loses the Hellfire Amulet only knows that it is gone. This overrides the Madman theft. The Shaman Wolf may continue to use dead powers, even if he dies holding the Hellfire Amulet (though still, no information will be revealed).
The Shaman Wolf may raise any tagged player who dies as a zombie, in exactly the same way as the Necromancer. The Shaman Wolf will have a chat with this zombie under the alias of "Necromancer". However, the Shaman Wolf will control this player's vote for that day. A player is no longer considered tagged if raised in this manner.
Once per game, the Shaman Wolf may PM the mod to cancel any zombie raising by the Necromancer for that night.
Once per game, following his death, the Shaman Wolf may return as a zombie regardless of the Necromancer's power, and will be granted full chat and voting rights. He cannot raise any other player as a zombie on the day that this happens. The Shaman Wolf will learn the identity of the Lich on this day, and will be present in the Necromancer's chat that day if it exists. The Shaman Wolf may continue to submit views after death, but will not receive any view results until the day of their return, when they get all the views at once. After this return the Shaman Wolf may not submit any more views. In addition, on the day that the Shaman Wolf returns as a zombie he may move the votes of any dead tagged players as he wishes. If he controls these votes, he cannot use any of his other vote manipulation powers.

Sorcerer
Knows the ID of all original wolves but not any promotions. May view for seer/not seer each night, positive hit on the quasi-seer, explosive seer, and cursed witch. On any night of the game, the wolves may choose not to kill in order to promote the sorcerer to wolf while losing his view powers, but this will only work if the sorcerer has at least one positive hit. The wolves may attempt the promotion multiple times until it works, missing a kill each night. Gets a N0 random negative.

Evil Wizard
Views for priest/wolf/other each night, getting a “priest” hit on the high priest, druid, psychic priest, and a “wolf” hit on any wolves. Also, the Alignment Seer's views of that player that night will be flipped, and the Quasi-seer will get "unsuccessful" instead of a normal result. May not target the same player on consecutive nights. If targeted for nightkill, will survive, lose viewing power, and become a wolf. Gets a N0 random negative.

Cursed Witch
The cursed witch may target a player each night (not the same player on consecutive nights) to block that player's night action (all of them if more than one) if they are good. In addition, may target a dead player, forcing that player to rest that cycle rather than haunt. If targeted for nightkill, will survive, lose witch power, and become a wolf. Midway through D1, the Cursed Witch will learn names of four players, one of which is the sorcerer, one of which is the Madman, and two of which are good. On N2 the witch will learn the ID of the sorcerer from this list.

Lich
The Lich will know how many wolves were voting for the same player as them, but not who those max evils were. Additionally, the Lich's vote strips the target of any toughness for that cycle if they are good.
The Lich, even before being dead, may either open a chat with a target player each night under the same rules as ghosts, OR choose to view the ghost "rest" chat, invisibly and unable to post. Unlike dead players, the Lich has no restrictions on how often they can do this.
Once per game, even if dead, the Lich may PM the mod to declare a No Lynch will occur that day. The mod will not specify why a No Lynch has occurred.
Each night the Lich may further set a spirit trap around any player. Any ghost who attempts to chat with a trapped player is knocked out for a cycle, unable to chat or vote. Spirit traps, once set, remain in place until one of them is triggered, at which time all extant spirit traps (excluding any set that same night) vanish. Once dead, the Lich is vulnerable to their own spirit traps, and has the same powers as any other dead player.
The Lich is immune to all forms of death except standard lynch and the Explosive Seer's power. If targeted for nightkill, the wolves will be aware they have targeted the Lich.

Good:

Explosive Seer
The explosive seer may submit 2 views per night, one for wolf/not wolf and one for aux evil/not aux evil, which also gets a hit on the Madman. The first time the explosive seer gets a positive hit on an aux evil, that aux dies, and the explosive seer may no longer view for auxes (even if the Evil Wizard blocks the view result, the aux will still die). Gets 2 random negative N0 views. If either view targets the medium, the explosive seer will learn the ID of the medium. On any night of the game, the Explosive Seer may choose to explode. This will kill the Explosive Seer, but it will also kill a non-good player, in the following order of priority: The Madman, random aux evil (besides the Lich), random max evil. If one of these would die by other means that night, the kill moves to the next target. The Madman must be dead to kill an aux and all auxes must be dead for a max to die. The player killed in this way is completely destroyed and doesn't get the option to haunt, rest, or vote, unless they are the Shaman Wolf.

If the Explosive seer is blocked by the witch on the night they try to explode, they do not die, and neither does anyone else. If they are protected by the bodyguard, they still die.

High Priest
On death, learns the roles of all other dead players. The High Priest, once per night, may bless a player of their choice, granting this player the toughness power. That player will only know they have gained the toughness power when their toughness is spent. They can only bless three people during the game, but may bless themselves after N2. If the High Priest is killed by the wolves during the game (except for the Rabid's brutal kill, but not the other Rabid kills) and has at least one blessing unused, a random wolf will gain the toughness power and the wolves will be told who got it. If the High Priest gives a blessing to the Explosive Seer, Quasi-seer, or Special Ops Agent, that player will be tough only from lynch, not from nightkill. Further, if that player is later killed by the wolves with the tough unused, a random non-tough wolf will gain the toughness power (the wolves can only gain one tough during the game, however). If the Druid would be granted a toughness power, they are instead no longer vulnerable to being viewed or cursed.

Psychic Priest
If targeted by anyone for a power during the game, or if the recipient of a vote from another player at lynch, will learn that player's role on their death, even if already dead (this includes the necromancer's power if the necromancer targets the psychic after the psychic dies). If killed by wolves using the standard nightkill, will immediately learn the ID of a random wolf.

The dead will continue to be able to vote as long as at least one of the high priest, psychic priest, and medium are alive.

Necromancer
Each night may target a dead player. Instead of their usual chat options, the next day that player will be able to post in the thread freely and will get a chat with the necromancer (the necromancer is anonymous). Each player can only be raised as a zombie once. The Necromancer's power allows the zombie to vote, even if the medium is dead. Also, on any night of the game, the Necromancer may either send a message of up to 256 characters to any dead player (who will be allowed to reply only if good), or to ask a yes/no question to any dead player. This question may be no more than ten words long and may not mention any player names. The target dead player is required to answer to the best of their knowledge, but is free to interpret the question themselves and may answer “I don't know.” Loses the questioning ability if he asks the sorcerer a question (the sorcerer will not be able to answer).

Mason
Knows ID of Great Hunter (no chat). The mason is immune to the effects of the Hellfire Amulet (though not the lack of role reveal).

Great Hunter
Wins for good in final 5 or better if the alpha wolf is dead. If the vote of the great hunter is on the mason at the end of the day, a permanent chat will open between them. Also, views for Mason/not mason each night (random negative N0), and if he finds the Mason will lose this power and gain a chat with the Mason. If the vote of the great hunter is on the alpha wolf at lynch time following either the opening of this chat, OR the Mason dying and haunting the Great Hunter, the alpha wolf is automatically killed. Kill does not affect vote tally. The vote powers only work while the Great Hunter is alive. Lynch is processed before Great Hunter powers.

Druid
The Druid is tough to lynch and kill, but dies instantly if either of the explosive seer's viewing powers are used on him, or if cursed by the witch. Each night, the Druid may target two players, one to spy on and one to tag (the Druid MUST use the tagging power). The druid will learn all the roles that target the spied upon player, and the identities of any dead players who haunted them that day. If the tagged player later dies, the Druid will learn their role, even if the druid is dead. Once per game the druid may give up both actions for the night to kill all tagged players. After this, the druid may continue to tag and spy on players, but will not be able to kill them. The Druid's vote to lynch can kill tough players.

Special Ops Agent
Inherits hunter abilities of the great hunter if the great hunter dies, but not the voting abilities. Also may target a player at night to protect from a single nightkill- not the same player on consecutive nights. May protect self no more than once per game. Protection also protects from Druid kill. Protects from explosive seer explosive kill, and the ability of the explosive seer to kill an aux with a view (though the view will still return positive, and seer may continue to submit views in this case). Doesn't protect from lynch. Protection can keep Druid alive until dusk if viewed.

Quasi-seer
Each night may target two living players and will be told if they are of the same or different alignment. May not target self. May not target the same player on consecutive nights. Does not get a N0 view. Is not fooled by the alpha wolf and is not blocked by the evil wizard. Cannot use the same person in a combo on consecutive nights. The first time either of the players he targets is the Madman, he will learn that one of them was the Madman. If he targets the Madman on a later night he will learn the ID of the Madman (because otherwise the Madman makes the view next to useless).

9 Villagers
Normal villagers. One will be the Medium, who is not self aware. As long as the medium is alive, the dead may continue to vote. For non-role reveal purposes, Medium is an attribute, not a role, but the priests will see that this player was the medium. The Medium becomes self-aware if ever passed an Amulet of Truth (but not the Hellfire amulet), and their vote increases by 1 for every amulet held, even if not self-aware.
One is an unaware Tinker, who will ALWAYS give a positive result to any single-target view. Does not affect the Quasi-seer.

Other:

Madman
Neutral. Counts for evil parity but doesn't have to be eliminated for good to win. Will be give 5 randomly selected player names. Wins if four of them are dead at the end of the game and the Madman himself is alive, OR if the Madman is dead and evil wins. Each night, the Madman may target a player and attempt to steal a random item from them, if they have one. This theft happens before passing. For each item held, the Madman's vote gains +1 in value. Actual tallies will not be shown, only the result. Like the wolves, the Madman will know if he acquires the Hellfire Amulet.

On any night of the game, the Madman may choose to commit suicide, killing himself and any other player.

After death, unless killed by the explosive seer or dies holding the Hellfire Amulet, the Madman gains the ability to attack another dead player each night. The first time this happens, the target will lose their dead action for the night and will not be able to vote that day. The second time a dead player is attacked this way, they will pass from the game permanently and no longer be able to use any of the powers offered the dead. Only being raised by the Necromancer will allow that player to have further effect. Each night the Madman attacks another player, he has (15 + 5X)% chance of being removed the game in similar fashion, where X is the number of times he's used this power.

Victory Conditions: evil wins at wolf parity, or if all good players are dead and at least one aux evil (or the Madman) is alive. Good wins if all wolves are dead and at least one good player is alive, or if all players are dead.

Night actions:
Item passing happens first.
Nightkill happens last.
Everything else takes place unless blocked.
The Necromancer will still get his chat for the day with the raised zombie if he is killed.

Items:

There are three items in the game.

Amulet of Truth x2: When the holder of an Amulet of Truth dies, their exact role is revealed on death. Both Amulets of Truth are distributed randomly at the start of the game. It is possible for them to start with the same player.

Hellfire Amulet: Also distributed randomly at the start of the game. Players will think the Hellfire Amulet is an Amulet of Truth (Wolves, the Medium, and the Madman will be able to tell that it is the Hellfire Amulet). A player who dies while holding the Hellfire Amulet will not have anything revealed on death, and except for the Shaman Wolf and Mason, will not be able to vote, haunt, or rest while dead. The only means for that player to continue to interact with the thread would be to be raised as a zombie.

Item passes happen before nightkill, thus the Shaman Wolf could pass the Hellfire Amulet to a player and kill them the same night for the Amulet's affect.

If a player dies and is holding a single amulet, that amulet is removed from the game.

If a player dies and is holding both Amulets of Truth, one amulet is consumed and the other Amulet is passed to another player (random voter if lynched, random wolf if nightkilled, any random player otherwise).

If a player dies and is holding both the Hellfire Amulet and an Amulet of truth, neither amulet has an effect and both are given to other players as above.

If a player holds all three amulets on death, one of the amulets of truth are used and the other two amulets are passed away as above.

Being Dead and other things:

On death, 2 random roles that player was not will be revealed, unless they hold an amulet. Unique roles revealed via Amulets of Truth are excluded from future role reveals.

For villagers: two random numbers from 1-17 are selected, each corresponding to a role in the game besides villager. These two roles are revealed to not belong to the dead player.

For non-villagers: two random numbers from 1-20 are randomly selected. FOUR of these numbers correspond to the role of villager. Thus a non-villager should have ~37% chance of being revealed as such, which seems right to me (note that that same role cannot turn up twice- I'll reroll if the villager number is selected more than once).

For the N1 and N2 kills (adding one night to this for each night where there is more than one kill, and excluding said nights), the roles of Alpha Wolf, Shaman Wolf, Rabid Wolf, Cursed Witch, and Evil Wizard will be excluded from the possible non-roles to be revealed.

Upon death, the game is not over for players. Any chats a dead player is in are locked for them, and any future posts will not be visible. As long as at least one of the medium, the psychic priest, and the high priest is alive, any dead player may post a single public vote each day, using zombie emotes of course (dead players may not quote posts, or post anything besides a single nightfalled vote bounded by two zombie emotes).

Example Dead Post wrote:
zombie
[vote twomillionbucks]
[vote nightfall]

zombie

Second, each night following their death, each dead player may either rest or haunt.

All dead players who choose to rest for a cycle will share a chat for that cycle. This chat will not be anonymous. Players killed the previous night will automatically be part of this chat for the day, before entering their first real order the following night. Players who try to haunt a player who is killed that night will rest instead.

All dead players who choose to haunt will, instead of joining the group chat, have a chat with a player of their choice. In this chat, the target player will be under their username and the dead player will simply be marked as “ghost”. If multiple ghosts target the same player, they will all have to share the chat (but will have different color names).

Dead players must wait two nights before haunting the same player again. Also, if a dead player chooses the same action (rest or haunt) two nights in a row, they must choose the other option the following night.

Dead players are permanently removed from the game following being spirit trapped twice, being attacked by the Madman twice, or one of each.

Unless otherwise noted, role powers only work while a player is alive.

Dead players may not thumb posts at any time.

When I got the invite, I was all ... what? I don't remember playing any game names Dead Beat.

Apparently there was a memory block placed on this game to protect me.

Now that I've been reminded and my brain is burning just like DoctorDonna's would if she were reminded.

It burns.

Avin. Avin happened.
Also my two co-wolves discouraging me of using the amulet for FUD.
Also, I think the wolves lynched one aux and nk'd another, at least.

I'm not sure I want to remember it in full.
