Hey all.

With International Tabletop day looming I'm looking for something new to introduce my gaming group to, so I turn to The Mighty Geek to suggest something different.

We are fairly new to board gaming (we're mostly role-players), but we regularly play:
Legendary
Sentinels of the Multiverse
Tsuro
Forbidden Island / Desert

We've tried and are so-so on:
Pandemic
Betrayal on Haunted Hill
X-Wing

Tried and are meh on:
Pathfiner

I love but have yet to beat my group into submission to try:
Legend of Drizzt
Shadowrift
Space Hulk: Death Angel
Robinson Crusoe

And so I challenge the Geekmunity to throw us a curve ball and suggest something new and out of our comfort zone to try!

Game on!

Oops, forgot to mention group size. Probably 4, but with a 5th floating none-gamer that may make an appearance.

How many people are in your group?

The Resistance/The Resistance: Avalon are great games if you have the numbers

Eldritch Horror, or, for a deeper experience, Arkham Horror. Both games feel very similar to role-playing games, and offer deep experiences that will last a few hours.

Last Night on Earth: The Zombie Game has a similar feeling, but one or two players have to use the zombies, which isn't as much fun.

4 or 5 players?
too easy.

Got 10 minutes? Escape: The Curse of the Temple

Excellent Euro? Puerto Rico

Want to beat each other up? King of Tokyo

Want to get in other's heads? Dixit

and for truly (and literally) uncomfortable I have to agree with the Dancing Eggs suggestion.

I think Lords of Waterdeep could be a nice transition into worker placement for your group.

... or maybe Alien Frontiers.

I would suggest playing Lords of Waterdeep. You can't go wrong.

Thanks for the suggestions. Lots to take a look at, although Dancing Eggs might see off my group due to our lack of physical prowess
