This is a way to play Talisman using all expansions, yet starting with only the base game.
Each other expansion is brought into play using the following rules, and slight changes.
1- Dungeon Expansion. Is brought into play when a card or effect would lead a players character to the Dungeon door.
Option A-the board stays for the rest of the game.
Option B-The board is removed when all characters have left the Dungeon, and there is no longer a way Into the Dungeon.
2-Highland Expansion. Is brought into play when a card or effect would lead a players character to the Highlands Entrance.
Option A-the board stays for the rest of the game.
Option B-The board is removed when all characters have left the Highlands, and there is no longer a way Into the Highlands.
3-The City Expansion. Is brought into play when a character has landed on the City Space (3-4) Times.
At the start of the game Place a Ruins Card (from the Firelands expansion) on the City space. And (3-4) Sleep Tokens from the Dragon expansion.
Every time a character lands on the City space, a sleep Token is removed. When the 3rd or 4th token is removed, Add the City Expansion board (permanently) to the game.
Every time a character lands on the City space they have the option of:
A- Visit 1 of the City locations.
B- Visit the Ruins Card.
When the last Sleep token is removed from the City space, remove the Ruins card as well.
4- Forest Expansion. (Pending).
The following expansions use an extra 6 sided die.
(I use blank dice with 3 stickers on each die
(EDIT- I think having 2 Dragon Symbols would make the carrying of a Talisman more dangerous, and bring more of the Dragon Expansion cards into play.)
5- Dragon Expansion. (simplified dragon scales placement).
When ever a character is carrying a Talisman, he rolls A Dragon Die, with his normal movement die roll.
If the Dragon Symbol comes up, he place a Dragon Scale (Drawn Randomly) in his Space, before moving.
A-If a Slumber token is drawn, the player must place it on the nearest Dragon on the board. If none, the player may keep the Token, and use it on a Dragon he encounters, later in the game.
B- If a Rage Token is drawn, a Firelands Token is placed on the players space before moving.
6- Reaper Expansion.
The Reaper only enters play after one (1) of the following 3 events occur.
1- A Character has moved through the Portal of Power, onto the Plains of Peril.
2- A Character has defeated the Eagle King.
3- A Character has defeated the Lord of Darkness.
(The Reaper begins on the reapers space).
Once the Reaper awakens: all players roll For the reapers movement.
7- WereWolf Expansion. (Not Sure)
Place the WereWolf figure, Lying down, on the Cursed Glade space.
With 3 Slumber Tokens.
1- Whenever a player lands on the Cursed Glade, remove a Slumber Token.
2- The WereWolf awakens:
A- when all Slumber Tokens are gone from his space.
B- if a player becomes a Lycantherope, he rolls the die. But not the other players.

There are some really good ideas here. I like it!
Thanks, we've been playin with the Corner Board rules for a while, and using Dragon dice to find out when Dragon Tokens are drawn.
It works out Nicely.
Ive just been trying to think of a way to add the Reaper and the Werewolf.
Cool ideas. I was just thinking of something similar, except you can reveal extra boards by landing on the tavern and rolling to hear a rumor or something.
What we enjoy:
Is that each game of Talisman is set up quickly.
And every game is Very different.
Some games will have the Dungeon, some the Highlands, and if it goes real long it may have both.
The Dragon scales, Flame Tokens, and Death become clocks.
Just enough to make the game more exciting, like things are actually happening in the world.
After playing 4 games using this method with the Firelands.
The game is too hard.
We played for 4 hours.
1-died 3 times
2-(me) died 2 times.
5 had 6 or 7 craft. The most stats of any of us.
The Dungeon could not even be entered.
Full of Dragon scales and Firelands tokens.
We ran out of coins.
And the Temple!!!! Wow
It had about 10 coins. And 6 Dragon Cards.
So no, we could not go to the Temple.
1st turn. My brother with 5 fate loses all his fate.
My 1st turn. The DeathKnight with the Free war horse.
I lose my war horse.
Spent the rest of his life unable to land on Graveyard or city space
Died the turn after getting his war horse back.
Then, graveyard became Crags.
City became ruins
Village became forest or woods. Not sure which.
The most brutal and funny n fun game ever.
No one defeated a single enemy for the first hour I play.
We finally cheered when the sprite defeated some craft creature.
After playing through this weekend, I think we are never goin to use the Reaper or Werewolf again.
In fact, I've gone through and pulled most of the Werewolf expansion cards out.
They seem to drag the game on.
Which Talisman doesn't need any help with.
I want to never use them again. But, I love the Idea behind them.
So, Another variant try again.
Simplifying Dragon Scales.
When you roll the Die/Dice to move.
If a Talisman (1) comes up, A Dragon scale is placed on your space before moving.
More than 1 Scale can be on a space.
If you land on a space with a Dragon scale, you can enter the Dragons Lair.
Draw from a color that is on the space.
If 2 of the same colored
scales are on a space. Then you must draw from that space.
If a Rage Token is Drawn. It stays on the space.
The Dragons are Destroying the space.
Once 2 of the same colored Scales are on a space with a Rage Token.
The Space is Changed to a ruin or desert.
