I'm currently printing out the 'print and play' files and noticed something that seems odd to me. A lot of the tiles (e.g., personnel, equipment, etc.) list prices like $2, $3 or $4 while the rules say other things (e.g., selling gold, income phase, etc.) cost $2k, $3k, etc. Can someone confirm that $2 equals $2k? This is a little confusing.

Btw, major props to the publisher for offering the print and play files for free. This probably will be the first kickstarter I back.

In Rahdo's run through he uses the two denominations interchangeably, so I am led to believe 2 = 2k.

Also, let us know what you think of the game, like in a session report or something. I hope to be able to print and play this game too, and also hope it funds so I can get the nice version with some cool stretch goals!

The two denominations in Pay Dirt are $1,000 & $5,000

I promise that in the final printing the money symbols are shored up to read $4K, $3K, etc.

Thanks for the confirmation re: money.

Btw, I played this the other night with my 7-year-old son and we both really enjoyed it - except when the little bugger trashed my FlimCo excavator with his "misplaced" wrench card. I'll be better prepared for that next time....

I didn't hold back at all (as I do with some games, like Agricola, Memoir 44, chess, etc.) and he still beat me, which made it a satisfying experience for both of us. I think we'll add my wife tonight to see how it plays with three people.

It appears from the rulesheet that the 2 denominations are $1K & $3K. Are they changing the $3K to $5K instead?
