An attempt at a solitaire rules for Tempus can be found at the link below.

The variant lays out a few rules changes and provides a somewhat optimal strategy for your rival civilization. Based on what era you are in, he will choose between Grow, Expand, Terrain and City actions. Each action has a progression for how it is carried out and if it cannot be done the next likely strategy is performed.

Additional rule changes:
- Your rival cannot be attacked if he would be reduced to 3 tokens or less and he cannot be dislodged from a grassland.
- Your ocean travel is restricted to 4 hexes.
- He always draws 2, 3 or 4 cards for battle or for progress.
- Your final score is your VP minus your rival's VP.

Like all solitaire endeavors with a complicated game there will be loopholes, exceptional cases and in the end its just not the same as playing at a table of buddies. Regardless I plan on tweaking these rules in the days ahead as best I can. If they work well enough I will go ahead and upload them to the Geek.
