Posted on behalf of a Scotland Tabletop facebook group member:

Would there be any interest in starting up a board game group on a Monday or a Tuesday in Dundee?

I'm a couple of months late in seeing this, and by the lack of replies it's not looking good, but yes, especially on Mondays.

I'd be interested if we got a boardgaming session going. Could maybe see if we could use Major Arcana's (facebook link) space depending on the time of day. They have gaming evenings on Saturdays I believe.

the gaming evenings are one Saturday a month. Worth asking about using on a Monday. The other evenings where board/card gaming goes on are Sunday at Highlander and Wednesday at Cerberus Bar.

Thanks, didn't know about Arcana or Cerberus. There seems to be a bring yourown games along event at Arcana in a fortnight (Saturday 14th), so will hopefully be able to give that a go to start off with. Do you think it's okay to go or along without knowing anyone and expect to be able to join in with something?

Hi, I was the one looking for a Mon or Tues group, as I can't attend any of the others due to work.

Major Arcana run MTG drafts on Monday nights so we wouldn't be able to use the shop. If there was enough interest I could look into using a hall somewhere. My friend in Derby is part of a gaming group that uses a British Legion hall, and everyone pays a £2 entry fee. I thought something like that may work?

I'll also be at Colin's game night on the 14th, hope to see people there

Rachel, you can just go along to the shop, it's no problem, and everyone's very welcoming. But be in quick if you want some pizza

I know that the East Neuk isn't Dundee, but if you can travel this looks promising: https://www.facebook.com/groups/ENTGames/

No worries David, I know how important it is to get traction in the early days of a club, best of luck in Anstruther. Later on in the summer I might try and convince the family to mix some gaming with a trip for fish and chips!!

It's almost the perfect combo. If only there was a pub across the road from the hall we use.... Oh, wait there is!

Great night gaming at Major Arcana on Saturday.

I'm hoping to set up a weekly Monday session soon if anyone is interested

Just spotted this thread. I'd be up for a games night if one can be organised. Just pass on the details and I'll be there, board games in hand

Evening, folks.

Sadly, Major Arcana closed its doors last week

However, I am still looking to put together a weekly gaming group.

The evenings I have available are Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

How many people would still be interested in this and what nights would suit?

If we have a decent number we could perhaps use a social club hall or something, I will look into this

Fridays are a no go for me as I generally get a late shift, otherwise fair game

Hi, thanks for replying.

I'm leaning towards Monday or Tuesday myself.

Hoping for a few more interested parties, depending on the size of the group we could perhaps use a room in a pub or a social club

Hi Verity, there are a few of us in Perth who play on a Monday night, it may be a bit too far for you. We play a mix of Euros and Ameritrash if you're interested let me know on here or Facebook @ The Malt House Gamers hopefully you'll find somewhere to get you're fix :)

Hi James,

Perth's not that far so I may be able to come along sometimes.

It would be nice to have something weekly here though, surely a city this size has plenty of gamers!

Hi Verity (and other folks),

I've just moved to Dundee, and I'd absolutely be up for a regular games night.

If you could keep me in the loop as to what gets organised, I'd love to come along.

Cheers!
