Jr miniatures are making space station terrain. They have kick started it and the turrets are huge and awesome! wish them the best of luck on this.

$250 for a full play area? We could buy our own ship(s) for that!

This is the end; hold your breath and count to ten; feel the earth move and then; hear my heart burst again

Almost double the cost of the already-existing Combat Wombat version, and that's with a real 3D trench and the gun towers:

No waiting for Kickstarter delays either. Don't see a reason to back this one.

Having played on the 3x3 Deathstar 3d map at FFG, I can only say: it sucks. Give me a nice flat surface any day. The 3d part is way too annoying. Maybe if it was covered in an epoxy so you could actually put the ships anywhere without worrying about the 3d stuff making positioning impossible.

same with my stuff. I fixed it by spraying a flat clear coat on last and the bases grip it pretty well.

Playing without asteroids is a serious problem for me with these death star playmats.

How do people get around the issue with no asteroids? Asteroids just make the game sooooo much more interesting imho
