Yesterday I picked up the 6 player map from the local shop. As I didn't want to order anything else just now I payed local MSRP of $31.

Given the steep MSRP of this map, I got to wondering if I saved money by NOT electing to get it through the Kickstarter. Given the shipping premiums to nonUS addresses I had guessed ahead of time I would.

Level I backed:
Skeleton + Royal Bonus + Shipping Premium (15+9+5) = $29

Level I would need to back to have gotten the map:
Goblins + Shipping Premium + Royal Bonus + Shipping Premium (40 + 15 + 9 + 5) = $69

Difference: $40

Conclusion: I saved $9. More if you factor in exchange rate.

Second conclusion: this is a damn expensive map.

Oh yes. It could have been $23ish.

But I didn't want to order anything else so adding $8 shipping and I'm back to where I am.

I just paid $20 (Australian) for mine, which I was pretty happy with.

But the normal price is $35 here which is exorbitant.
