Ok, this man volunteered to be left on an island... alone.... naked... with literally nothing for 60 days. But his tale is fascinating. I own the game, have sorted it, and watched Ricky Royal play through it and can't wait to break it out. This article isn't helping matters:

5. Aside of natural shelter, two simple ‘Y’ poles can be stuck in the ground about 7ft apart and coconut palms can be laid one on top of the other resting in the ‘V’ to keep the worst of the rain off. On the first night you could bury yourself in dry surface sand to stop wind chill if necessary.

RC is quite the thematic game indeed!

Wow. And he only had one starting object - a camera (with no spaces for any black cubes).

What gets me reading these accounts is the imprint humans leave, washed up bottles, flip flops? Really rather sad. Well, guess there is trash even on the moon.

I just watched this guy last night on TV, yeah, he was getting a little "Island fever", really started getting wild eyed, was expecting outbursts to imaginary tourist, "do you want to buy a ship in a bottle?".

I flipped the channel at the goat killing. The goat was having a real panic attack, reminded me of that Jurassic Park scene with the tied up goat.

A small boat has all the "charms" of an island but without the bugs. The museum down the road from me has April Fool. You really have to see this thing to appreciate it. You are up on this high pier walkway that runs around the exhibits looking down on some fairly large boats, then you see this thing tucked in.

Thanks for your thoughts, Mark. The reality of such a situation is definitely a whole less pretty than games like RC or even the article I posted begin to illustrate. While the goat was killed in a slow, suffering manner (if I take your word for it and knocking aside the fact that the man chose to be on the island), it's hard to judge him for doing so when he's swinging high above the crowd without a net

Seems to use the exact same language. The link I provided must be fake.
