Suddenly a shot rang out! A door slammed. The maid screamed. Suddenly a pirate ship appeared on the horizon! While millions of people were starving, the king lived in luxury. Meanwhile, on a small farm in Kansas, a boy was growing up.

Blind-bidding with 2 isn't very exciting, I don't find. Auctions with 2 don't work well, but this idea seems to work out alright.

- The buying-of-votes for parliament is carried out back and forth between the two players, starting with the player who has fewer base votes on their retained character card [plus the +2 token, if applicable / activated]. If there is a tie, the non-starting player begins the buying / bidding.

- You may place a bid to buy additional votes if the bid moves you into a winning bid position. Tied numbers of votes are broken in favor of the starting player, so the non-starting player has to beat the starting player's total, and the starting player will only have to bid to tie their opponent's total.

- The players may continue bidding back and forth in alternating turns until one passes, allowing the other player to win the bid.

- The winning player pays their full bid to the bank. The losing player takes back half of what they bid, rounded down.

It has an effect sort of like the provost movement in 2p Caylus.
