Just to wet your appetite. Some things have changed since this playtest session, but if you want to know what it feels like to try and survive in a hostile environment.
Another epic tale. 4 Character, 2 Hero (Max and Amazon), 2 Jobber (Loner and Conspirator).
The Amazon spent most of the early game babysitting the Conspirator and sending supplies back as possible. The Loner spent a lot of the early game talking with the feral camp getting information about the perils they would have to face. He took the opportunity to loot their stores at night, but they didn't like that very much and he got pretty banged up early. Max spent most of his time at the gun emplacement keeping the gang in check and generally being awesome (sending his dog back to the compound with supplies for the trip).
After quite a bit of healing the loner headed back to the feral camp to see what was needed. He found out that they would need to stock up on quite a bit of ammo and a little bit of food. After bribing the natives with gas (a poor choice it turns out) he found out that there was rocky terrain and they may even need to get out and push a bit. It wouldn't take much energy, but a lot of gas.
Then the marauders got angry. They started pinging our characters at every location. The conspirator ended up at the compound alone leading the gang on a fierce attack. The compound was pretty beat up, as were the characters. The loner ended up starving to death at the gun emplacement after he spent all his energy wedeling down the gang. Max ran over to see if he could help, but it was too late. He did grab the gas that was left behind and sent it back to the truck with his dog before he was mowed down. The conspirator came out to help the Amazon gather the last few resources but her wounds were too great and she bled to death.
The Amazon was left all alone, but uninjured. She grabbed the last gas at the Old Airfield then foraged around. Not only did she find a car to take her back, but she found 2 bullets and a gas as well. What luck. On the way home she punched a gang member in the face for good measure. But she had to go back out and collect the last few resources. It looked like the Marauders had her where they wanted her, but she is shifty and barely escaped. Then her hunger took over, but she suffered the consequences and kept her food to help get her back. She got back and drove off alone into the sunset.
