There has got to be a solution for this.
Games where the boards are in sections like Zombies!!!, get frustrating because the boards slide around. Put up a new section, boards shift, move a figure, boards shift. You're just constantly just trying to keep the boards lined up.

Someone else must have been equally as frustrated at these types of situations and come up with a brilliant solution.

(and in case anyone was wondering, Superglue does work, for one game, after that you have to buy a new game if you want to reshuffle your boards. And wives can get really, really, get angry about a permanent Zombie Apocalypse displayed on the dinning room table)

There are game aids called 'grip-mats' that have a rubbery surface to keep stuff in place. Also some nice heavy plexi-glass keeps them in line and gives an even playing surface.

Grip-mat sounds like the thing I need. Thanks for the tip, but which ones and where to get them?
Searching for 'grip map game' only brought up 'Break from Reality Games' but it appears to be a Kickstarter that's not ready yet.
It looks like there are a lot of other grip-mat products out there but they all for different uses.
Ones for keeping tools from sliding around in a tool box. Another is a PVC foam grip mat. Some for a drawer, under a rug, in your car, etc.

Just about all of them look the same. A vinyl looking thing with holes throughout it. Kinda like a thick screen that cam roll up. Is this what I'm looking for?

Thanks

Gripmats was a kickstarter project:

Its closed now; I don't know if there is a way to get in on it at this point.

But there are a lot of other things out there called gripmats. I'll have to take a couple of playing boards to a hardware store or a Bed Bath and Beyond, some place that would seem to have them, and try it out.

This is a great general purpose gaming surface:

http://www.hookloopoutlet.com/n30mnis.html

It's basically mousepad material. Comfortable to play on, keeps stuff from sliding around, cards are easy to pick up, less wear and tear on dice and quieter too.

I use the underside of a card game playmat. Which are basically large mousepads as far as I'm concerned.
