I play a lot of music while gaming to help myself and my guests immerse themselves in the game we are playing.
I would thoroughly recommend listening to Rimsky-Korsakov's beautiful symphonic poem 'Scheherazade' whilst playing Tales of the Arabian Nights. The tales of the Arabian Nights were the inspiration for the creation of the music. Here it is: VIDEO If this is all a bit too much for your group you could try the fantastic soundtrack to the Ray Harryhausen fantasy film 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad'. (Incidentally it is one of my favourite films!) Here is the music from 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad': VIDEO The soundtrack to 'The Golden Voyage of Sinbad' by Miklós Rózsa works wonders too. I usually pop on the Traditional Arabic channel on Pandora. Almost perfect fit with Tales of the Arabian Nights.

Thank you very much for posting! I have been looking around for some background music to play during this game. Great choices. This sitar music link (
