Just thought of a great interaction:

Caprice Nisei on HQ (with ice)
Off the Grid scoring remote

Obviously weak to Sneakdoor, but better against account siphon and vamp, removing that from Caprice's short list of soft counters.

x3 Interns would be great

Likewise, Ash is also a great card to put on HQ if you already have Caprice and money.

Maybe, but I think one of Caprice's advantages is how cheap she is for the Corp. Having a 1/3 chance per run of losing your 6 credit OtG seems pricey.

Tell that to the runner who ran through a tollbooth and Heimdall on HQ only for a 2/3 chance of failure anyways. They won't be making that run too often.

This was my experience. Once a runner saw caprice - they just stopped running.

Without Caprice, you have a 100% chance per run of losing your 6-credit OtG.

it depends on how consistently you want to win then.

if caprice misses once, you lose caprice + otg, which is a somewhat heavy price.

caprice + taxing server + recursion which can be seen in lysander's HB troll list is better in my opinion.

Why on earth would you stop running? If you never run, you have a 0% chance of getting into that server.

I ran a Off the Grid deck for quite awhile, I would of liked this card a lot. The main downside though is that your R&D is very very porous. Adding Caprice also cuts the ice count, which begins to negate the deck in the first place.

I was thinking about the exact same Thing, combining Caprice + Off the Grid.

Sure it's nice to have. But it requires a lot of Setup.
You Need Money. You Need to have both Cards drawn and installed
You Need to have rezzed ICE in front of HQ and R&D.
You Need to be lucky.
You still die horribly to Sneakdoor.

I have a Feeling that though nice, it might take too Long, especially against Criminal dominant meta. And I would expect, if Caprice is seen
often (which I doubt, at least after everyone has tested her), Sneakdoor will be splashed quite a few times.

Because its stupid to toss a click and a large # of credits to run Caprice and fail. Also - someone running Caprice is also probably running additional protection for her, like Ash.

In Weyland? Probably not.

Has anyone tried using her to protect Director Haas?

Wouldn't you just run SanSan instead?

That's boring, lol. SanSan has been a staple since core. I've always lacked the intestinal fortitude to make effective use of cards like Haas. I dont play many 5/3's either because I'm a nervous wreck leaving them out there. I haven't tested Caprice yet, but if you're telling me that most runners will just ignore the server instead of dealing with the psi, then this opens up some corp options for me. Casual play, mind you. I welcome the change.

Running her to protect Haas was exactly what my roomate and I were discussing last night. Having an extra click every turn is pretty attractive. Gives you a bonus even on turns when you aren't FAing in a remote. I would imagine using her to protect Chairman Hiro would be a fun thing as well. I like the idea of using her to protect fun assets, which otherwise were considered junk because they were easily trashed. Caprice protecting city surveillance sounds fun.

I'm sure most of the time people are just going to rush agendas behind her or use her to protect R&D though.

Yeah, also half price and 4 clicks per turn forever. SanSan doesn't give you clicks all day all night always.

I too considered using her to protect Haas. My concern is, why do that on a faction with Biotic Labor and Archived Memories?

Basically it boils down to:

Haas/Caprice Pros:
-Takes up less deckspace
-You can use the extra click for anything

Haas/Caprice Cons:
-Very influence-heavy
-Haas can be trashed in a central and increases AP density

I won't say the combo is worse than in-faction alternatives, but I'm not seeing it as being stellar either.

I'd rather use her to score a Mandatory Upgrades instead.

That is what we were thinking. My roomate is always looking for ways to score that Mandatory Upgrades, but the thought of using Director Haas was too fun.

Outside of etf, biotic costsa shitton to use. Maybe running 2-3 nisei in NEXT or stronger together makes them viable. Paying through a server 2-3 times sucks, and NEXT with ash and caprise in a haas server would be pretty rough, or mandatory upgrade. Set up a basically impenetrable server and go nuts for a few turns.
