Welcome to BSG 411 - Information Overload! This will be a 5 or 6 player game with the Pegasus and Exodus expansions. It is by invite only, from the BSG PBF Wiki.

As always I would like to give my sincere thanks to Coltsfan76 for bringing BSG to PBF, and to Vollick1979 for moderating the first PBF game I played...any errors I make will be blamed on bad habits picked up from him.

It's been a while since I've modded a game, so please feel free to double check all of the images posted and to speak up if you think anything's amiss.

Some particular notes for those taking part (you can find more notes and tips on nbergom's geeklist Tips and Tricks of BSG PBF):

1) SUBSCRIBE TO THIS THREAD. I like to run a relatively fast game, so plan on checking in a couple of times a day (morning/evening). I realize life gets busy, and it's not a big deal if there are times when you'll be off the grid for a couple of days (on a weekend trip, for example), but give me and your crew mates a heads up when you'll be away, and be generous with COs.

2) All players must have their own copies of the game as I am only going to publish card titles (this is an FFG request).

3) Private communication will be by geekmail between me and particular players, all other communication will be by posting in this thread.

4) Start your geekmail subject line with "BSG 411 - " and your character name.

5) To speed up the game, please use Conditional Orders (i.e., geekmail me what you will do if certain circumstances arise).

All CO's must be sent to me via geekmail, not posted to the thread. CO's are particularly useful for interrupts, such as Evasive Maneuvers. A standard set of CO's is outlined at the bottom of the post, and those will all be considered to be in effect unless you tell me otherwise (and feel free to override them whenever you think it's warranted). Also, don't consider yourself limited by the default standing CO's: feel free to send me others as well. I can't emphasize this enough: conditional orders help the game run much more smoothly, especially when you know you'll be checking in less often for a day or two.

6) Please use the following posting conventions:
* Normal text for discussions.
* Italics for flavor texts.
* Bold for in-game moves and actions. I won't process any decisions/actions unless bolded in the thread or I receive them in geekmail.

If using a smart phone or other digital device that makes the above difficult, then please start with the line:

Bold: Name

7) Make clear in each post who your character is by posting a banner or other character image at the top of your post. Great banners are available here (use the "medium" option to display them). If you find using a banner is too much of a hassle (or you are on your phone), at least list your character name at the top of your post.

For flavor, a useful selection of character pictures is hosted on this geeklist, though by all means provide your own if you wish. http://www.frak-that.com/ is a great site for finding shots from all episodes of the series.

============================================================

Standing Assumptions for Interrupts:
(Borrowed from GerryRailBaron with a couple small changes, thanks!)

d10-1 Pass on any you don't have, but don't tell the thread until almost finished to hide the fact you haven't got it.

d10-2 Strategic Planning:
- Pass on Launch Scout if there are 2 or more Raptors.
- Pass on Cylon Attacks, Actions, etc.
- Pass on Viper Attacks vs Raiders & Basestars

d10-3 Evasive Maneuver:
Pass on EVERY use unless:
- YOU are in the viper being hit
- the viper is shielding a civilian from IMMEDIATE attack
- a viper is about to be destroyed (not damaged)

d10-4 Declare Emergency:
- Pass if you are the Target of Admiral's Quarters or Airlock
- Pass if you played skill cards against the check

Multiple offers may mean that current player will decide which one to use.

Or better: Get those Standing CO's in!

Tanking skill checks:

When calling for interrupts on a skill check, you may also respond with "TANK" instead of pass. "TANK" means:

- I pass on playing interrupts
AND
- I want to pass on playing into the check if everyone else also tanks

Note that if you want, you can give me a private CO to play into a check even if you publicly state "TANK". If you do so and everyone else tanks, I'll stop the skill check right after you've played into the check and we'll continue manually from there.

Most of all, have fun!

By Pegasus and Exodus, I assume that means all three Exodus components (Conflicted loyalties, Cylon Fleet, Ionian Nebula) and the Pegasus ship itself (plus all the characters, of course). Is that accurate?

Definitely including Pegasus. I was going to survey opinion on the Exodus modules once we had our crew...feel free to post your opinions now.

Thanks for the invite. I'm in.

Fair warning to the rest of the crew - my experience with Exodus is minimal. I've played with the CFB once and none of the other modules. That said, I'm actually keen to give it a go with all Exodus modules; I'll just have to swat up on how they all work.

I'm assuming everything will used in their straight-out-of-the-box form?

I love the ally part of Ionian Nebula, but I hate the crossroads cards (my group made our own) so I'm torn on that. I'm fine with the other Exodus options.

I also like the idea of a cylon leader, but I'm not a fan of the base agendas, so I voted for No Sympathizer there. But it's not a dealbreaker - if others want to play with the old CLs, I'm one less person they'll have to fight for the chance to play a CL.

I would much rather play without Personal Goals, but I am just excited to finally be playing in another PBF game. The last game I played was V81 and the four month break I took feels like forever.

So, based on responses received, we will be using the Cylon Fleet Board and Final Five loyalties, and the No Sympathizer rules.

Ladies and gentlemen, I know you are alarmed and grief-stricken, but please be assured that we have our top minds at work on the Cylon problem. By which I of course mean me.

I choose Gaius Baltar.

This is Felix Gaeta reporting for duty. And on a personal note, I must say what an honour it is to be working alongside the esteemed Gaius Baltar. I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of the crew. I've no doubt that together we'll be able to outrun the Cylon menace.

I choose Felix Gaeta.
