I've added a signup table to the Database section of this Group.
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/ccnapo/info

The 'theme' as such is Ulm to Waterloo, and the number of scenarios will depend upon the numbers, but generally it will include all the current official major nations.

As a rough guide, the current scenario selection is looking like this
Scenarios
Rnd 1 304 ELCHINGEN (14 OCTOBER 1805)
Rnd 2 206 EYLAU - 8AM TO NOON (8 FEBRUARY 1807)
Rnd3 319 WAGRAM - MACDONALD’S SQUARE (6 JULY 1809)
Rnd 4 114 BARROSA (5 MARCH 1811)
Rnd 5 118 ORDAL CROSS (13 SEPTEMBER 1813)
Semi 220 CRAONNE (7 MARCH 1814)
Final 015 WATERLOO (18 JUNE 1815) (Walled Farms)

The Final will be the new variant of Waterloo with Hougoment and La Haye Sainte as Walled Farms

hope you can join in. Geekmail if you want more details.

In brief,

The players are split into 2 equal groups, typically called Alpha & Beta.
Each player plays every player in the other group, usual 5-6 matches. Scores in banners won are compiled, and the highest 2 from each group meet in the semi-finals.
Winner from each semi-final plays in the final.

The aim is to give players a decent run of contestants and scenarios, with the expectation that the odd game of bad luck will even out over the heats. In the heats in particular I look for what seem balanced scenarios of about the same banner count.

The semi-finals and finals are reverse matches, each player plays each side, with the winner of most banners from the 2 matches declared the winner. This means the scenario need not be as balanced, but generally I look for larger scenarios to offset any single event dominating the result.

Please fill me in guys please. And I think another player will join too.
You can see him on Vassal as "Klopik", but he can't speak English.

On other note - I can't join yahoo group without registering on Yahoo.
And to register on Yahoo, I have to supply my phone number, which I am not letting go, just for some stupid registration/verification. I am sorry about that.

I hope this will not be a problem, if I will not be in that yahoo group.

hmm.. I can't recall ever supplying a phone number, just an email.
So, how about making one up?

I'm used to the Yahoo! features, but they are less functional, or maybe harder to get to function in the new neo format.

The alternative is www.ccnapoleonics.net
However, I'd have to get that figured out. So are you a member there?

Interested Players can also subscribe about the ccnapoleonics.net thread (see link from Mark above) in a new post, instead of joining the Yahoo Group.

To subscribe we need following dates.

- Vassal ID/Nickname:
- Time Zone GMT +/- X:
- Email address:

And we always glad about new Players.

Because of the different time zones around world, the players should be a little flexible, to schedule/play their games.
But in the preliminary round not more than 5 games are played, so not more than 1-2 games against a complete different time zone opponent must be played in the preliminaries and that shoud be possible within a time span of 5-6 weeks
